One Product: Three Looks

My favourite thing about makeup is there are no rules. Since the 2000s, creators have shared their own beauty hacks. Though some left a less than desired result, others are still in use today. In particular, the idea of using a makeup product differently than intended piped my interest, though I never got around to trying it. That changes today. Armed with a beauty blender, my favourite Rimmel Lipstick in 01 and a sprinkle of hope, I am going to show you how to turn this gorgeous lipstick into a multi-purpose staple.
Let's start with the obvious: A red lip.
- Apply the lipstick and use the finger technique to ensure it doesn't get on your teeth (this consists of popping your finger in your mouth and forming your lips around it before gently pulling it out). Pair this with a brown smokey eye and a simple base for a makeup look which is perfect for most occasions.
Feeling a little shy? Tone that red down.
- For those who don't feel comfortable in a red lip, but want to try it out, I have your back. Apply the lipstick onto the back of your hand, get your finger and dab the product from your hand onto your lips.
Lipstick as Blush
- Apply the lipstick on the back of your hand before dapping it on the apples of your cheeks and blend it out with a damp beauty blender.
A Final Note
What is your favourite multi-purpose product? Have you tried any of the looks mentioned above? I'd love to hear about it 😊
Lots of love,
Em xx
