Reviewing Natural Collection

Natural Collection is a Boots- owned brand which promotes 'lightweight, wearable and easy to use products that fit into your everyday routine.' When I worked for boots as a beauty specialist, Natural Collection was a brand I would recommend to individuals with sensitive skin and mums buying their daughters first makeup product. After leaving Boots, I thought to myself, how good are Natural Collection products really? Is this brand a great money-saving alternative to its drugstore neighbours? I decided to put this to the test.
About the Brand
Both cruelty free and vegan, Natural Collection is an affordable, tempting option for those not wishing to spend half of their pay check on makeup. With prices ranging between £2.50 to£4.00, Natural Collection products are sold in recyclable packaging, and are made from 90% natural origin ingredients. Let's see the products in action.
Face Products: A Mixed Bag
The Stars of The Show: Blusher, Bronzer and Highlighter
Though the face products were hit or miss, I would class these products as exceptional.
They are pigmented, blend like a dream and are versatile in their use. The bronzer and
highlighter are gorgeous as eyeshadow too.
A strong second place: Setting Spray and Primer
The setting spray and primer do their jobs well and the primer comes in mattifying, blurring and illuminating editions.
The rest:
Unfortunately, the skin tint and concealer were a let-down. Despite being thick in
consistency, the coverage is minimal and comes out cakey. However, I found using a beauty blender minimalised this. I would strongly encourage Natural Collection to broaden their shade range, as it is poor in comparison to other brands.
Eye Products: Good to Go
Both the eyeshadow and eyeliner were pretty. The eyeshadow, though pigmented, lasted a couple of hours, and the liner lasted most of the day. I would recommend them to anyone wanting something quick and easy to use. I didn't get the mascara or brow pencil as my local boots was out of stock.
Lip Products: Beautifully Versatile.
Their lip liners and sticks are lovely, ranging from daring reds to subtle nudes. Though notvery long lasting, these products can be touched up easily and are the perfect handbag size.
Overall, I love the message of this brand. 'Beauty isn't about looking perfect, it's about finding what works for you.' They're so right with this. Makeup shouldn't be about looking
'flawless' or 'perfect', it should be a fun, engaging and creative way of expressing your
personality.
